Project Implementation
Jump start the implementation of a new release, or enlist BBCS to help co-manage the implementation and launch of a new application system across the enterprise. BBCS has a dedicated staff with the tools and experience to successfully manage your implementation project. BBCS provides the project management skills to ensure the applications are implemented in a timely fashion and adhere to industry regulations. We understand the changes to applications at each release level, and what this means for a facility including control file updates, SOP change, and staff training. We recognize the challenges of managing a major software implementation upgrade, and have the unique ability to partner with your management team to maximize the effectiveness of the project.
Training
Our training staff can deliver half-day webinars to help kick off a project or enrich staff knowledge in a particular area of focus. We can also provide intensive on-site training solutions that range from Management Refresher training to New Client Management and Application training. Our goal is to empower your staff to fully utilize the available application features and the supporting materials, so that their departments are operating at the highest level of efficiency while mitigating risks.
Training emphasizes functionality and best practices. Services are tailored for your blood center to address specific needs and situations such as:
- Implementation training for users
- System administrator training
- Management refresher training covering topics such as system control and configuration
- Customized training for situations such as release implementation, migrations, new modules (i.e., transfusion services or red cell loss), and new application implementation
Consulting
BBCS experts can provide consulting to address special circumstances or needs that your blood center may have. We can help you identify areas of improvement at the facility, satellite center, department, or module level. Projects can be custom tailored or we offer defined engagements that fit standard parameters. For example, a Management Controls-Operations-Reports-Efficiency (MORE) Study entails an on-site review and assessment of your center’s management controls, operating procedures, documentation and reports, and processes to ensure you are getting the most out of the BBCS system in all these areas and as a whole.
Operations Audits
To safeguard your investment in a BECS system, BBCS experts can perform an Installation Qualification audit and/or Operational Qualification audit on your systems and operations. The audit will spotlight your facility’s compliance with BBCS Risk Mitigation Guide requirements and recommendations, and provide consolidated documentation of these areas for an application installation or upgrade.
Custom Application Development
The BBCS software team can respond to custom development requests—from adding specialized features and functions, to setting up existing products such as configurations, to installation support for third-party products. Clients can submit a Design Change Request or simply contact us to develop the specifications for a statement of work. To satisfy any application development needs clients may have we follow the same customer-responsive Scrum methodology we use for our market-ready products, thus eliminating the need for you to establish tools to comply with MDDS regulations.
Data Conversion
BBCS can provide support for a full range of database conversion and migration projects. Legacy systems and applications that your staff rely upon are ideal candidates for our team to assess and map into the BBCS applications. Following thoughtful analysis by our staff and review with your team, BBCS can populate your validated data into the BECS system for seamless inquiry and update. A BBCS data conversion will allow you to sunset your legacy system without the concern of lost data.
