BONNEY LAKE, WA – May 23, 2023 – Blood Bank Computer Systems, Inc. (BBCS) today announces one of their newest clients who recently implemented ABO Suite™.
Community Blood Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York (ERIE) went live March 26, 2023! Working with this close-knit, innovative group, we were continuously impressed by the team’s efficient work-flow process and all their efforts to stay on track with their go-live goals even though the bulk of their implementation was during peak pandemic times. One of the most unique aspects of this journey was navigating the special accommodations required for their large Amish donor population, specifically in figuring out a workflow for those instances wherein certain Amish sects do not personally interact with electronic devices. Due to the ingenuity of the team and their deep connection to their community/needs of this donor population, we were able to configure the BBCS applications to account for these special circumstances.
ABO Suite received market approval by the FDA in 2016 and represented a full replacement for the industry leading Blood Bank Control System. ABO Suite has taken the market by storm and has grown to be the most popular BECS solution amongst Blood Center of America member centers.
“We are so proud of the collaboration between our team and the implementation team at ERIE. First time Implementations are frequently met with challenges and the unwavering dedication to the project these teams demonstrated, ensured that these implementations went very smooth! We immensely enjoyed our time working with the folks in Erie and look forward to watching them flourish now that they are live on ABO Suite.” says Brian Forbis, CEO of BBCS.
