AUBURN, WA – January 7th, 2019 — Blood Bank Computer Systems, Inc. (BBCS) today announces their client of 20 years has gone live on ABO Suite™. Shepeard Community Blood Center (WSCBC) upgraded from BBCS Primary Application, Version 5.4.3, to ABO Express 2.1.0, ABO Wheels 1.1.0 and ABO QuickPass 1.1.0 in 5 short months.
Their implementation was completed with the use of Optimize Technology Group’s (OpTech) Cloud Hosting Solution. OpTech provides automatic application updates and shared Installation Qualification (I/Q) Verification for BBCS clients, eliminating the need for blood centers to spend time performing these activities.
“Pairing our technology with OpTech gives our clients the advantage of always having access to the latest release. We can get the hardware up and running while they focus on other aspects of the implementation,” said Brian Forbis, VP of BBCS.
“Our upgrade to ABO Suite was seamless,” said Kevin Belanger, CEO of WSCBC. “The support from the BBCS conversion team was top notch!”
The WSCBC staff celebrated the ABO Suite conversion with a ‘family night out’ at the local theater.

Available offerings also include private cloud hosting services, high-availability services, and business continuity and disaster recovery services.
