Elizabeth Simon Elizabeth (Beth) Simon is President and Chief Executive Officer of BBCS, Inc. Ms. Simon joined Blood Bank Computer Systems as a software developer in 1989 with a background in software development, implementation and training for the manufacturing and distribution industries. In 1991, she assumed additional responsibilities for the development of the BBCS software application, at which point she implemented change control and validation procedures. She served as Vice President for nearly 3 years before solely purchasing the company in 1995. As President and CEO of the organization, Ms. Simon has been actively involved with the growth and automation of the company and the enhancements of the software application. Through the past 20 years, Ms. Simon has provided the leadership required to see an average of over 10% growth in new clients each year, providing one of the first software to the blood banking industry to receive a 510(k), and has continued to expand the organizations leadership and in-turn more robust and quality driven products to market. Ms. Simon and her organization participate with, partner, and support the conferences and missions of the National Blood Foundation.
Wendy McGee Wendy McGee joined BBCS, Inc. in 2000 as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. McGee’s responsibilities include finance, accounting, budget, and cash management. Prior to joining BBCS, Inc. she was Chief Financial Officer/Vice President of Administrative Services with Virginia Blood Services. Ms. McGee holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a past member of the Board of Directors for Gateway Rehabilitation Facility of Chesterfield, Virginia.
Tom Metcalf Tom Metcalf joined BBCS, Inc in early 2007, assuming the responsibilities of increasing responsiveness to our clients, streamlining and enhancing implementation support, managing and growing client support services, expanding client knowledge, supporting a controlled sales growth and market penetration, developing and shaping strategic partnerships, and ensuring the business operations of BBCS continue to support key objectives. Tom has over 15 years of IT and business and leadership experience. He has worked in the food manufacturing and distribution industry as both an IS Director and General Manager, and most recently, for the Kent School District as the Director of Technical/Application Services. He holds a BA degree in Business Administration from Northwest University and serves his community as the President of the Rainier Symphony.
Sharon Edman Sharon originally joined BBCS in 1997 taking on the responsibilities of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll. Her interest in the development of BBCS software moved her into the Validation department responsible for Black Box Validation. After a brief absence, she returned in 2003 to redevelop the user documentation. In February, 2006, Sharon was promoted to the position of Device Documents Control (DDC) Manager to assume the responsibilities of ensuring the highest level of quality in all device documents with the exception of the SVP.
Brian Forbis Brian Forbis originally joined BBCS, Inc. in 2004, returning in early 2007 to assume the responsibilities of ensuring public awareness of our commitment to quality and customer service, furthering our recognition as an industry leader, providing accurate representation to the public of our applications and our organization, expanding our market share in current and future markets, building a centralized implementation team and client available tools, as well as identifying areas where BBCS can assist clients in growth. In early 2009 Brian was promoted as the Director of Products & Sales. This new role will further support the BBCS passion and drive to provide quality products that meet the industry, client and market demands and desires. Brian has over 6 years of combined Sales & Marketing and IT experience. He most recently worked for Keystone Resorts managing online projects and online marketing campaigns. He holds a BS degree in Information Technology and Administrative Management from Central Washington University.
Cathy Williams In January 2007, Cathy joined Blood Bank Computer Systems in the Customer Services division. As a Medical Technologist, she has been working with transfusion service laboratories and community blood banks since 1993. In those environments she has held technical, management, quality assurance and information technology positions. Before joining BBCS, Cathy worked part time with National Institutes of Health and Atlanta Blood Services as a consultant with their implementations.
Daniel Key Daniel joined BBCS in 2008 as Device Quality Assurance Manager to ensure BBCS products meet our own high quality standards. His responsibilities include process development and test planning and execution to satisfy the quality demands of medical device development. In 2009, Daniel was promoted to Software Development Manager. In addition to his quality assurance duties, he is responsible for the accurate and timely implementation of our software. Daniel comes to us with almost a decade of quality assurance, systems analysis and project management experience in commercial software and enterprise information systems development. He is active in the professional community as a senior member of the ASQ and in his community as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Covington. |
