Registration Opens for BBCS' Annual User Group Meeting

Auburn, WA - Blood Bank Computer Systems, Inc. (BBCS), one of the blood banking industry’s complete software solutions for data and risk management, has opened registration for their annual User Group Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Seattle Red Lion in Washington State on March 20 - 22, 2013, for all of their client facilities across the United States.

The BBCS User Group Meeting is an opportunity for clients to connect and network with other BBCS system administrators, quality and regulatory staff, and department managers regarding industry topics and BBCS functionality. This year’s agenda will focus on and explore the Information Technology (IT) and Quality Assurance (QA) connection in order to enhance BBCS product management and implementation projects at client facilities.

Keynote speaker, Patrick Ooley, will share his knowledge of the partnership and roles that both IT and QA staff have in being compliant. Mr. Ooley is the Corporate Director of Quality Operations at Blood Systems, Inc., provides oversight to Blood Systems’ consulting program, Quality Source, and has many years of AABB Assessor and committee experience.

In addition to Mr. Ooley’s presentations, the meeting will include breakout sessions led by several BBCS clients and staff members that will focus on BBCS product opportunities, partnerships, training, and implementations.

“As our industry evolves with regards to the mechanisms that are used for managing blood centers it is clear to many that a tighter connection is needed between the IT and QA staff”, said Beth Simon, President and CEO of BBCS. “We look forward to providing a platform where our clients can come together and learn about increasing the relationship between IT and QA and other important industry topics.”
